Born
on Long Island, New York, I grew up there and in Bethesda, Maryland. I moved
to San Francisco in 1985; prior to that, I had lived in the Berkshires and
the Arkansas Ozarks, where I made a house and various other thingsfrom
drawings to gardens. In 1988, after completing formal studies at California
College of Arts and Crafts, I established my San Francisco studio in the arts
complex at Hunters Point Shipyard.
EDUCATION
BFA with High Distinction, 1988, California College of Arts and Crafts (CCAC)
Studies prior to CCAC included two years of general liberal arts, music and
art at Bennington College and Colorado College.
